What does Certified Pre-Owned mean?
These systems have been pre-owned, leased, or rented. They go through our world-class inspection, repair, and refurbishment process. We ensure they function with full factory specifications and certify compliance with the latest regulations for medical devices. CPO systems undergo the same process as new systems.
Does it have full functionality?
Yes. We thoroughly inspect, repair, test, and certify all pre-owned systems. You will have all the same functionality as a new system.
Is it safe?
Yes. All CPO systems meet the latest safety and regulatory standards of new systems.
Does it come with a warranty?
Yes. Because we take extensive care to restore these systems, we back each one with the same warranty of a new system. Extended warranties are also available to purchase for BTE’s CPO systems that will add years of worry free ownership.
Do I still get installation and training?
Yes. We want you to get the most of your BTE system, regardless of CPO status. All CPO systems come with the full installation, training, and support of new systems. Learn more about our training courses here.
What if I buy a used system from someone else?
We do not recommend acquiring BTE systems from third-party sellers such as used equipment retailers. Third-party sellers do not meet our standards for inspection, repair, and testing, and may not comply with federal regulations on medical devices. We can’t guarantee the safety or operational status of third-party-purchased systems, and will not offer any service for these systems without a complete inspection for an additional fee.
